Introducing Norstat Quarterly Data Q2 2026

Norstat Quarterly Data, the consumer survey covering Society, Consumer, and Health & Wellbeing, has expanded to include six new markets. Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Czechia, Mexico and Spain have been added to the report and dashboard, which now covers 22 countries across Europe and the Americas.

Nikolaj Voulfsbach, who leads the Norstat Quarterly Data initiative, comments on the market expansion:

“Since its launch in 2023, Norstat Quarterly Data has been used by professionals across industries to gain insight into local markets and consumer behaviour. Now, through our acquisitions of Offerwise and National Sample, we are providing benchmark data across even more markets, including the Americas for the first time.”

Nikolaj also highlights some of the key trends in the Q2 2026 report.

Did you know that people in LATAM are generally happier than people in Europe?

  • Across LATAM, 41–59% of the population report being happy to a very high extent or high extent, whereas the corresponding figure ranges from 15–49% across Europe.
  • In Europe, Italy has the lowest level of happiness, with only 15% of the population reporting that they are happy to a very high or high extent. In LATAM, Argentina has the lowest share, with 41% considering themselves happy.
  • In Europe, the Irish are the happiest (49%), followed by the Dutch and the Swiss (both 46%).
  • In LATAM, Mexicans are the happiest (58%), although only slightly happier than Brazilians.

Did you know that people in LATAM perceive their quality of life to be better than people in Europe?

  • Across LATAM, 64–75% of the population perceive their quality of life to be very good or good, whereas the corresponding figure ranges from 40–73% across Europe.
  • In Europe, Italy has the lowest share of people who consider their quality of life to be very good or good (40%). In LATAM, Argentina has the lowest share (64%).
  • In Europe, more Swedes rate their quality of life as very good or good (73%), followed by the Swiss (72%) and the Danes, Dutch, and Irish (all 70%).
  • In LATAM, more Colombians rate their quality of life as very good or good (75%), followed by Mexicans (71%).

Did you know that people in Europe and LATAM share several of the same top societal concerns, although their priorities differ?

  • Overall, while both regions share concerns about personal and family well-being, Europeans are more focused on broader economic and geopolitical issues, whereas people in LATAM are more concerned about personal safety and financial security.
  • The three societal concerns that people in Europe are generally most concerned about are inflation, international political conflicts, and their own or their family’s health.
  • The three societal concerns that people in LATAM are generally most concerned about are crime and violence, their own or their family’s health, and their own or their family’s financial situation.
