Norstat is delighted to present the latest edition of Norstat Quarterly Data Q4 2024, the initiative providing up-to-date, quality data on consumers’ views from 15 European countries. Seamlessly compare trendlines across different countries for a comprehensive view of evolving market dynamics.

Nikolaj Voulfsbach, who leads the Norstat Quarterly Data initiative, highlights a few trends in this Q4 2024 report:

  • Did you know that health care and own/family’s health are still some of the most prominent concerns across Europe
  • Financial concerns such as inflation, own/family’s financial situation and tax burdens are gaining prominence across Europe.
    • Inflation remains the most prominent societal concern in France, the Netherlands, Estonia and Austria
  • In most countries, more expect to have a lower consumption in the coming months.
      • 51% in Estonia, 35% in Latvia, 33% in Finland, 23% in Norway, and 18% in Austria expect a lower consumption in the coming months.
  • In most countries, more than a quarter of the population is concerned about development.
    • Switzerland and Denmark are the least concerned with only 24% and 27% respectively expressing concern about national development. In comparison 59% in Finland, 62% in Latvia and 69% in Estonia express concerns.  
  • Did you know that in most countries more have become less positive about the future compared to Q3 2024?
    • Only 21% in Italy, 32% in Germany and 33% in Latvia have a positive outlook on the future. But in comparison 53% in Denmark, 51% in Ireland, 45% in Estonia and 43% in Norway have a positive outlook on the future.
