Data-collection company Norstat has signed an agreement to acquire all shares in DMA Research A/S (DMA). Jointly the two companies aim fora revenue of more than 500 million NOK in 2021.
We have followed DMA closely the last years and been impressed by their quality standards, their growth and results says Erling Eriksen, CEO in Norstat.
The acquisition of DMA was completed Monday 31. May and is a major ingredient in Norstat`s strategy for future European growth.
With headquarters in Copenhagen and production facilities in Århus DMA is a well-established fast-growing data and service provider for the market research and polling industry.
Jointly Norstat and DMA will become leading provider of high-quality data collection and services.
After the acquisition Norstat will be present in 12 European markets with more than 170 full time employees and more than 1500 part time employees.
Both Norstat and DMA has history of profitable growth over time. Together the two companies produce a yearly revenue of approximately 50 million EURO, with strong profit margins.
This acquisition adds both production capabilities and expertise to the Norstat-group. It is very much in line with our overall strategy; to grow on our existing position as an innovative highquality provider of data collection services – and to create the leading European player within this business, says CEO Eriksen.

“We have followed DMA closely the latest years and been impressed by their quality standards and the strong team`s ability to create good growth and strong results. DMA has a very interesting global client portfolio and this acquisition will strengthen Norstat`s ability to handle complex projects while simultaneously increasing our production capabilities in the Danish market. Both our clients, employees and respondents will benefit from the merger since we from the start will be able to take on bigger and more complex assignments. It is also great that we will bring Jesper Platz, Managing Director in DMA, with us as Project Director – being responsible for integration of new companies into Norstat. I also look forward to Jesper`s contribution on business development on the European stage.”
Quote from Jesper Platz, Managing Director, DMA.
«DMA and our clients will benefit vastly from Norstat`s position as a high-quality provider of data-collection services across Europe. We are now in a position where we can offer our clients in-house production instead of relying on partners. Norstat also has a broad product portfolio that we look forward to present. Norstat has substantial resources and we are really eager to contribute to make Norstat even better, both in Denmark and beyond.”
Quote from Tue Meier-Poulsen, Managing Director, Norstat Danmark.
«Norstat and DMA has the same quality focus in data collection so this is really a good match. I have already worked extensively with the great DMA team and I know their capabilities. I am therefore very enthusiastic about meeting the rest of the employees. It will be a pleasure to onboard the strong characters in DMA and to fulfill our ambition to make Norstat the leading Danish player within the data-collection industry – which our clients will benefit greatly from.”
